Meet Marianne O'Keefe...

Hi, I'm an Artist.  I believe that art is important and it is powerful.  Art is more than just an image; it tells a story, communicates an idea, and evokes a response. It is an experience.  And my job as an artist is to capture that experience so you can live it over and over.

Telling your story

I love being able to use my art to tell your story. Whether that be photographing significant life events or the everyday, designing imagery for your business, or helping you with your next project, they are all seen as beautiful opportunities to create art.  My goal is to be able to provide everyone with high quality fine art products, while doing my best to work within your budget.  My style is playful and fresh with a touch of softness, resulting in heartfelt images that you will cherish forever.

The portrait experience

While photographing, I aim to make you look good while still being yourself. I love to laugh and smile and my positive energy helps to make you feel at ease and comfortable in front of the camera. My playful approach and easygoing attitude makes the session fun and unpredictable, which can lead to great images. I love to listen and observe and watch the moments unfold before me. I may do some subtle positioning and posing as necessary. I then hand touch every single image to make sure each image is the best it can be according to my vision. I have a BFA in Photography from the University of Washington which has given me a strong fine art photography background, technical skills, creative compositions, and a trained eye for making powerful images. And I am a photoshop master! 

The design process

Good design is about communication.  It is a way to communicate your story, brand and ideas.  It is a conversation between designer and user.  It creates connection.  As a designer, I will work closely with you to understand your needs, and produce your vision with this in mind.  I provide excellent service and attention to detail, and I focus on making visuals that are clean and easy to understand.  Every project has its own unique solution that we will come up with together. It can be a very iterative process but I won't stop until it's perfect!  

My loves

I love to build strong relationships and new connections. And I am always striving to learn new things and challenge myself. I mostly work in Kitsap County and the surrounding Seattle area but love going on adventures and traveling to new places, especially for great photos! Other things I love: baking, anything sweet (especially chocolate and cheesecake!), learning new things, walking/hiking, traveling, going on adventures, cozying up to a good book with a hot cup of tea, playing with my adorable puppy Luna (I couldn't get a red panda so she was the next best thing), doing all sorts of craft/art projects, solving logic/math problems, planning fun events, and of course being silly/joining in shenanigans with my two Bills (husband and baby boy). Also, I have a really large rubber duck collection.
