Ashley & Sean's Forest Wedding

This intimate forest wedding was the perfect combination of purples, greens, whimsy, love, laughter, and just the right amount of weirdness! I love when my couples show so much of their personality in planning their wedding day. What a fun and unique wedding for a silly and sweet couple! Located at the Fort Townsend Friends Barn it was the ideal spot for a quiet, romantic PNW wedding, with soaring trees, lots of greenery, cloudy skies, a view of the water, and yes even wildlife!

Ruby & Jonathan's Garden Wedding

I’m so excited to finally be sharing more from this beautiful wedding day. Ruby and Jonathan celebrated the most wonderful garden wedding at Genesis Farms and Gardens in Enumclaw, WA. It was an absolute dream! Ruby had this venue picked out before they were even engaged, and after I saw it I understood why! Gorgeous flowers everywhere, beautiful landscaping, the perfect ceremony arbor, an open field complete with a swing and view of Mt. Rainier, and the perfect lawn for guests to spread out and play lawn games.

Victor & Tara

I am finally getting around to blogging this sweet backyard wedding from last year! It was just too sweet and loving not to share it! This intimate wedding was full of humor, fun, excitement, and lots of love. Tara was all smiles the whole day, grinning from ear to ear, I couldnt help but feel her excitement too. You know it’s going to be a fun wedding when the first thing the bride says to you when you meet her is “If I fall on my face you better capture it!!” I loved that they included their fur babies, and it was unforgettable when one of them escaped his harness during the vows! I was only hired to photograph 2 hours of this special day, just enough time to cover the ceremony, family/bridal portraits, and a few details, but enough time to still capture their story perfectly!

Expecting baby girl O'Keefe

Only three weeks (give or take!) until we meet our baby girl! Eeeek! I managed to sneak in a last minute maternity session at the beautiful Manchester State Park in Port Orchard. I knew taking maternity photos myself this time around would not be as easy to do on my own with the little terror of a toddler we have, so I enlisted the help of my lovely sister to wrangle him in and get him to look at the tripod. We managed to get a few images of him cooperating but he mostly wanted to run around and climb on rocks. This little guy has no fear! Here's to hoping baby #2 is a bit more relaxed, for mommy's sake.  A note about my maternity leave:

William & Daniella

William & Daniella opted for an intimate and elegant wedding ceremony with only their closest family and friends at the Alexander's Castle in Port Townsend, right next to the bunkers at Fort Worden. It was a beautiful ceremony, taking place at sunset overlooking the water, and included the unique ceremony custom of handfasting, in which the hands of you and your beloved are wrapped in cord as you "tie the knot".

In celebration of their marriage, they held a vintage picnic reception for all of their extended families and friends the following weekend at Port of Allyn Gazebo, complete with succulents, handmade napkins for each guest, yummy cake made by the sister of the groom, and dancing!  This two-part wedding was an affair to remember!

Brother Charlie's 50th Jubilee

Celebrating 50 years of service to the Catholic Church for Brother Charlie's Golden Jubilee at St. Olaf's in Poulsbo! It was exactly fifty years ago on Aug 21, that Brother Charlie left home and entered Religious Life, joining the Little Brothers of the Good Shepherd, and dedicating his life to helping the elderly, mentally challenged, disabled, homeless and those in need. All 14 of the Pratt siblings (and many other family members and friends) were there to show love and support for their brother Charlie at his Golden Jubilee! Thank you Uncle Charlie for your service to those in need and for being such a positive, caring and lovable member of our society. Rejoice!

Zach & Annie

This was one of the most unique wedding venues, complete with castles, bridges, trolls, orchards, and beautiful grounds to explore, all tucked away in the beautiful Sequim area. The photo opportunities were endless. It was the perfect place for Annie and Zach to exchange their vows and celebrate their marriage. These two are the sweetest couple and it was a joy to see them surrounded by all of their family and friends (which was A LOT of people because that's just how awesome these two are!) I also loved the touching moments of the Native American tradition of gifting a Pendleton blanket and wrapping it around their loved ones. Some other fun touches were the mention of Zelda during the ceremony along with some singing, and of course the cake had king and queen chess pieces on top!

Annie and Zach, Thank you for sharing your wonderful day with me and letting me be a part of it. I really enjoyed getting to know you both and wish you many years of happiness!

Dun-Yu & Tianshu

So excited to finally be sharing this intimate Seattle Courthouse wedding. I used to help Dun-Yu in the Computer Science Department at the University of Washington with any small art requests he needed for his research, so when he asked me to shoot his wedding I was more than thrilled to work with him again! It was a sweet and simple ceremony for a sweet and awesome couple! I am so honored that they shared their special day with me. They were surrounded by their closest friends and family, and couldn't forget a quick video call to Tianshu's parents all the way in China to make sure they could be a part of it too! Dun-Yu also just graduated from the University of Washington Graduate Program, so there was double reason to celebrate!

In Memory of Katie O'Keefe

Dear, sweet Katie, our hearts are broken and you will be missed more than words can say. You were always so full of life, love and adventure. I will always cherish our times biking, kayaking, hiking, relaxing, and exploring in Washington, Wyoming and beyond. It was nice to have someone who went the same speed as me, similar in strength and endurance, and we made a great team. You were always up for anything, no matter what it was, and were happy just being together. You accepted me instantly into your family and welcomed me as a sister. You just had a way of making people feel good and loved. You were more to me than a sister-in-law, you were my sister, my friend, my family. You were the best person to team up against Bill with, and the fiercest pincher I ever knew with your tiny fingers. Who is going to help me keep Bill in line now? I can't say this about a lot of people, but I always felt extremely comfortable around you. Maybe it is because I did not have to worry about saying too much because you always took care of the talking, or maybe it was because you were such a genuine person that one couldn't help but be at ease around you.
